Twist Me Trilogy

Twist Me

Title: Twist Me, Trilogy
Author: Anna Zaires
Genre: Fiction, Erotica, Thriller
Source: Kindle, Recommended
Rating: 3/5

My favourite quote; “the romantic teenager buried deep inside her was weeping at the perversion of her love story. There was no hero in her romance, and the villain made her feel things that she had never imagined she could experience.”

If you like Fifty Shades of Grey, you’ll like this trilogy. You won’t want to crave Christian Grey anymore, you’ll want for Julian.
As I have Fifty Shades on my kindle, it recommended a few other erotica which is how I came across the Twist Me collection. I don’t usually read erotica, but I was in the mood for something different. A teenage girl kidnapped by a handsome anti-hero where she’s held alone on his private paradise island, experiences his desire for her as well a mixture of pain, hurt, torture and gunfire with no way out when she discovers his place in the world as a well known arms dealer, why wouldn’t I go for that?!

Nora Leston lived a normal life with her parents, went to school, partied with friends, went shopping, everything you’d expect from a teenage girl, until she saw Julian. Julian Esguerra instantly became obsessed with Nora and it only took another meeting with her to know he wanted her. A dark, dangerous, ruthless man who takes what he wants. Nora find herself alone in a room on a private island with only the companion of Beth, the housekeeper, and her now captive, Julian. At first she hates him and tries to find a way to escape from the island, however, she soon gets lost in his obsessive overprotective passion for her that she finds herself drawn to him.

“We look at each other–predator and prey, the conqueror and the conquered–and in that moment, I feel an odd sort of connection to him. Like a part of myself is forever altered by what’s happening between us.”

Julian’s enemies see Nora as his weakness so when she has to leave the island for an emergency surgery, they seize the opportunity to hold her ransom. You’ll get to see the lethal side of Julian that you’ve been waiting for.
She gets lost in a world far different from her own with her life constantly being threatened, Nora has two choices, to accept her new position in this dangerous world or die from Julian’s enemies.

The three books are full of non stop thrilling predicaments that you won’t be able to put down, from murder and torture and kidnapping, terrorist groups, shootings, explosions, grenades, plane crashes and car crashes. Nora discovers a new person in herself that is more than capable to stand by Julian’s side in this twisted love affair/ Stockholm Syndrome relationship. I don’t want to give too much away as their are three books you need to get through so instead I’m just going to recommend them to everyone!

“I will give you the world, my pet. The whole fucking world—just as long as you’re mine.”

Small Kitty 3

Goodreads Review:
“Will you ever let me go?”
“No, Nora,” he replies, and I can feel his smile in the darkness. “Never.”
On the eve of her eighteenth birthday, Nora Leston meets Julian Esguerra, and her life changes forever. Stolen away to a private island, she finds herself at the mercy of a powerful, dangerous man whose touch makes her burn.
A man whose obsession with her knows no bounds.
Her enigmatic captor is as cruel as he is beautiful, yet it’s his tenderness that devastates her most. Drawn into his violent world, Nora must find a way to adapt and survive—and find light within the darkness.

Age 28, I moved to Japan with my husband and cat last year which has been one big adventure. The only downside (besides missing my family and dairymilk) is that I've moved to a country where English bookshops are limited, plus the idea of transporting so many books back home sounds dreadfully expensive. I've grown to love my Kindle which is why I'm fixated on ebooks. It connects nicely to my goodreads and netgalley account also which means I'm always adding more to my never ending list of books. I read fiction and love all things fantasy, YA, historical fiction and classics. Add a bit of mystery and I'll be hooked!
